project proposal
Thanks for taking the time to review our proposal for this year’s Arkansas Capital Scan.
We had a great time working on last year’s report, learned a lot about how to put these together, and think we can make this year’s report even more dynamic, easy to digest, and engaging. – Below you’ll see a breakdown of our process, along with scope and two quotations.

Process
1. contract & 'down payment'
Begin with an initial ‘down payment’ of %50 the budget. This allows us to procure the necessary assets, software, expertise, and to keep the lights on while we work.
2. theme design
We’ll begin by designing the theme and design aesthetic of the document: typography, colors, graphical elements, data visualization (graphs, charts), etc. Sample pages are created to demonstrate how the theme will ultimately be applied to the final report. Sample pages include:
- Cover
- Table of Contents
- Perspective article
- Data-heavy pages (3+ graph examples: line, bar, & pie charts)
- Section title page
- Photography examples (sourced from the NWA council photo library)
- Case study
3. Design Approval
Up to 3 revisions of the theme design until design is approved. Should more than 3 revision be required, we’ll switch to an hourly rate of $100. 25% billed.
4. Receive Data & Copy
Upon receipt of the final data & copy we will provide a complete design within 6 weeks. With earlier versions of the copy and data I can have a head start on this process.
5. Revisions & Payment
Up to 3 rounds of revisions (excluding typos or errors with copy or data), with the final 25% paid upon completion.
